HAGYMATIKUM

Just for a few minutes walk from us you can find Hagymatikum Thermal Bath designed by Imre Makovecz (Kossuth prizes architecture) which is a unique  organic building of Hungary. With the mixture of thermal water of Makó and mud of Maros is help for different type of illness.

The thermal water of Makó is excellent for different type of diseases (joint disease, spine wear,  rheumatic disease, arthritis, atrophied muscle)

  The Maros mud has got as much beneficial effect as the most famous mud of Hungary. It helps for locomotive system and diseases of rheumatologic and gynecological. Furthermore efficient for lumbago and therapy after limb fracture.

TREE CROWN PROMENADE

The educational trail of Makó’s walkway has been settled at the top of the tree. It is nearly 200 meters long and presents the flora and fauna of forest of Makó. At the end of the walkway you can slide from the top to the ground (with a dry tube slide which is the longest slide in the Middle Europe.) It gives a special experience to get to know the world of the tree. The view of the forest, the sounds and the fragrances give real charging for the nature lovers.

MAROS ADVENTURE PARK AND MAROS BEACH

The adventure park at Maros beach is a great place  for children and adults too. The elements of the adventure park have been settled on the branches of the trees. The speciality of the Maros Adventure Park is a canopy line, which is unique because of it has been strained between the beaches of the river. If you would like to slide across over the river Maros it is worth to try it! The park is open from spring until autumn. On summer the Maros beach is also very popular which is also a  great entertainment facility for the children and adults too which is free of charge.

HAGYMAHÁZ

The Hagymaház is the cultural centre of the city in which found the theatre and cinema. It was the first building in Makó which designed by Imre Makovecz. Since then the other buildings of Makó represented the organic architecture. At present there is more than 10 Makovecz building in Makó. Makovecz tours have been organized on summer.

JÓZSEF ATTILA MUSEUM, SKANSEN AND ESPERSIT HOUSE

In the museum of the city there are several regular exhibitions. You can find here historical exhibition of city which represent the 300 year-history and culture of Makó from the Turkish destruction until the regime change. The Ford T- modell reminds us József Galamb who was born in Makó. The documents of József Pulitzer are also here. Historical  Portrait Gallery is also here. The espersit house which connected to museum is the exhibition space of the museum. Attila József poet lived here who was protegee of Dr. János Espersit lawyear. In the yard of museum take place a building complex which called Skansen (despite of the fact it is not an individual outdoor ethnic museum).

KISZOMBOR ROTUNDA

The biggest and the most regular hungarian rotunda. It is the only rotunda which used as sacred place in the Turkis time. Maybe it is the reason why remained it in good condition.

SZEGED ZOO

It is the youngest zoo in Hungary. It opened on the 28 th of May in 1989. It is the biggest too, 45 hectare is its territory. It called the zoo of the special animals because rare and damageable animal are here. The animals are according to continents and live similar like in its original place. The zoo is situated 2,5 km from the city centre. It is a very popular place, nearly 200 thousand visitors choose this type of relaxation in every year.

DÓM SQARE

It is the parochial and academic centre of Szeged which similar like St Mark’s square. In 2007 the second most popular building complex were: Votive church, institutes of Szeged- Csanád Bishopric and buildings of Szeged Academic University. On the square there are more than 110 statue of hungarian people. Since 1931 on summers have been held unique theatre scenes at the outdoor.

ANNA BATH

It is situated at the city centre designed by eclectic style added Turkish elements. It’s source called Anna water which is good for different type of diseases locomotive system,rheumatologic,dermatological, gynecological) It is a waterable water. The bath had renovated in 2004 while preserved its original style. In one of the part there is the thermal bath, in the other part is the wellness bath.  During the renewal a modern medical center had been built next to the bath building.

ÓPUSZTASZER NATIONAL HERITAGE PARK

The memorialpark present the ancient hungarian culture and the age of the conquest. It has got 5 parts: Rotunda, Monostor, Skansen, Nomad Park and Csete- yurts. Next to them there are several statues, monuments for example the famous Árpád fountain or the historical statuepark. In 1896 Árpád monument has raised in Ópusztaszer because of the 1000. anniversary of conquest.  The history of the memorial park started with it. After that more and more monument and building have raised in this field. The skansen (which present the culture of peasant of Szeged) and the panorama of Árpád Feszty have placed here.

CSILLAGÖSVÉNY MAZE THEME PARK

The concept of maze in this theme park is defined by the idea of positive experiences and a better knowledge of the self. Csillagösvény is located in Ópusztaszer, near the National Heritage Park. This adventure park, the theme of which is labyrinth, is unique in Central Europe. Built from natural materials only, it ensures great amusement for young and old with the help of mazes, logic puzzles, folk and children’s games.
